The “Sagrantino” is cultivated in this area.
It is a local wine, which was consumed in ancient times only as sweet or “passito” wine, while today it is mainly produced as dry.
Passing through the hills here around, it is possible to find numerous firms which produce this prestigious D.O.C.G. wine.
